Hula’s Island Grill is a throwback to the popular tiki restaurants and bars of the ‘50’s & 60’s. The creation of the Delaney brothers, the original location in Monterey opened in 1998, followed by Hula’s Santa Cruz in 2006.
Upon entering, you are greeted by island décor, eclectic music, and smiling staff. The vibe is California casual and The atmosphere is always happy. Come be surrounded by hipsters, oldsters, youngsters, and everyone in between. You can enjoy a tropical cocktail, a quick bite, or a full dinner, all while being taken care of by the best staff in the ‘biz. Our menu has something for everyone, and is a fusion of island, and American flavors.

WHAT IS THE FOOD LIKE?
We serve a variety of island inspired fusion dishes with a little Hawaiian flare! The owners have traveled all over the globe in search of the flavors that inspire our great tasting food, and unique menu. We source local products whenever possible. Our knowledgeable staff is well versed on all our menu offerings and can answer any questions you may have. Please don't hesitate to ask!

Yes! While we cannot provide an absolute guarantee when it comes to allergies, we will always do our best to accommodate our guests’ dietary needs. We also offer gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan menus.

Yes! We happily accept takeout orders in person and over the phone at both our Monterey and Santa Cruz locations.

Unfortunately, Hula’s does not offer delivery at this time.

Yes! Both our Santa Cruz and Monterey locations have a variety of parking options available close by.
